Walking Through the Jungles in Hidden Temple Cities Full-Day Private Tour

We’re heading to the former Khmer Empire Capital City. The South Gate, walk along the top of the Great Walls to a less-visited West Gate. We creep through the Jungle Path to the famous Four-Face Bayon temple. Walk along on an ancient sky bridge to Baphuon, Phimeanakas, Terrace of the Elephant and the Leper King and visit Angkor Wat.

Depart your hotel at 8:00 am in the Tuk Tuk (a motorized trolley) heading to Angkor Thom, the former Capital City of the Khmer Empire. Visit the South gate of Angkor Thom. The gate, flanked by a row of 54 stone figures on each side, was the entrance to the fortified city of Angkor Thom. At the height of its greatness, Angkor Thom had a population of more than one million people and was larger in size than the city of London. Today, the massive city walls, are twelve kilometers long and surrounded by a wide Moat. We clamber to the top of the City Wall and walk along the Great Walls for a length of 3 km to a less-visited West Gate. In the mid-morning, we creep through the Jungle Path 1.5 km to the City Center where the four-face temple is located. The famous Bayon temple (the 12th century) we see its beautifully crafted central towers, covered in more than 200 enormous faces. Then we continue our visit to Baphuon temple, Vimeanakas (located in the center of the former Khmer Royal Palace), and the Terrace of Elephant and Leper King. In the afternoon we visit Angkor Wat, the world’s largest sacred building and an architectural masterpiece. Your expert guide will lead you through the longest stretch of bas-relief carvings in the world, then you will venture deep into the central chambers of this truly great temple. After exploring the temple, return to your hotel after a long but fulfilling day.
