Full description
Depart your hotel at 2.00 pm to visit the southern gate of Angkor Thom. The gate, flanked by a row of 54 stone figures on each side, was the entrance to the fortified city of Angkor Thom. At ‘The Bayon’ (12th century) we see its beautifully crafted central towers, covered in more than 200 enormous faces, and we explore the famous Terrace of the Leper King and the Terrace of Elephants. In the late afternoon we visit the beautiful Sun Set at Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat, the world’s largest sacred building and an architectural masterpiece. If you are lucky you can see the Golden Angkor Wat temple when the weather is good and the final Sun light shines on it. Next Your local guide will take you to the Town’s best street food destination and meet the local chefs and street food culinary creators, and your local guide will explain to you about cambodian cuisines. You can try some of the authentic taste of Cambodian traditional food snacks such as ice cakes, roasted flogs, fried crickets, fried grasshoppers, many kinds of roasted Tonle Sap fresh water fish, barbecued meat on skewers; Khmer fried chickens, ducks eggs, barbecued corn. As you wander around, you might see fried spiders or roasted snakes. We also see many kinds of local seasoning fruit. We taste some local fresh fruit juices or beers before returning to your hotel.
