Day1: Siem Reap to Battambang

Depart Siem Reap in the morning and head to the Northwest of Cambodia. It takes a three-hour drive to Battambang through Cambodia’s prettiest landscapes of countryside views. Battambang is Cambodia’s second most populated city, situated on the banks of the Stung Sangke. This afternoon we will visit the 11th Century ancient temple of Ek Phnom, stop at a local-rice paper making village along the way for a glimpse of daily life. late afternoon you will enjoy a riverside walk where you will see some of the most impressive colonial architectures in Cambodia, you will also visit the most busy local market situated in the heart of the city.

Day2: Battambang day tour and overland to Siem Reap

This morning, have a short drive which will then take you to Phnom Sampeau where halfway to the summit you will visit the Killing Caves of Phnom Sampeau. This site was used as a killing ground during the Khmer Rouge regime. Continue to the summit which is now home to an impressive modern day apagoda, take in the breathtaking views of rural Cambodia. You will then continue to Phnom Banan where 358 steps will lead you to the five spire temples that many believe was the inspiration for Angkor Wat and visit the ancient house. This afternoon you will also visit a small local winery and visit a grape farm and taste some kinds of local red wines there. Take an exciting short ride on the famous bamboo train, a form of transport used by locals. This unique and unforgettable experience takes you on a thrilling ride through the countryside before you disassemble your train and heading to Siem Reap. On the way back, you will have some stops to taste local barbeque, seasoning fruit and Bamboo sticky rice. We arrive Siem Reap in the late afternoon, and you will have some free time to explore Siem Reap and celebrate the end of a remarkable journey.
