Sokoan was born in 1970 in Siem Reap. He lives in Siem Reap. He holds a Bachelor Degree of Law, a Master Degree of Law and Political Science from Build Bright University. He graduated at level 12 of the ACE General English Programs (Australian Centre for Education) and English Language for Ministry Official (ELMO) Program BELT 1/6, ACE.

Sokoan has had extensive experience working with many outstanding travel companies. His significant contribution has given those tourism industries a strong success. He started working as an English-speaking tour guide for Indochina Services and Phnom Penh Tourism from 1996 to 1998. He worked for New Sai Travel Services Cambodia (1998 to Sept 2004) as Operations and Reservations Manager. From 2004 to 2006 he worked as Operations Supervisor for Travel Indochina (Australia). From 2006 to 2009 he was promoted to Operations Manager of Travel Indochina (Australia). From 2010 to 2014 he was Operations Manager of Branch of Stella Travel Services Australia -Travel Indochina. From 2014 to 2015 he was Operations Manager of Insider Journeys and Branch of Stella Travel Services (Australia). From 2015 to 30Nov 2019 he was Operations Manager of Insider Journeys, Travel Indochina (Australia) and Branch of Helloworld Travel Services (Australia). On 15 Dec 2019 he Joined Journey2 Angkor as a “Co-Founder”.

Sokoan has been playing the major roles in monitoring the Customer Services, Operational Works, Products and Reservations, to ensure the standards to which companies aspired were delivered to clients. He is also managing ground arrangements, monitoring Local Guides, Drivers to make sure all clients are provided with excellent services.
